My Linux-terminal-fu is weak lately, but I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you where WINE keeps Program Files.
Wow, this game is still around. It looks like Gravity just dropped a pretty big update on iRO with a new client.
Since this thread is still the #1 result on Google for ragnarok online ubuntu, I...
No problems in the year I used Ubuntu before, and none in the 4 days I've been back on it.
If 10 is the traditional perfect, wouldn't 10.10 cause a buffer overflow? :P
I wrote this guide two years ago. The client has probably changed considerably since then, and I haven't played in about a year. Someone else will have to figure it out. :P
After being told for so many years that NTFS write support is unreliable, I'm a little paranoid about it. Has anyone had significant problems with it?
That was kind of a lame end; at least the driver seemed to walk away unharmed.
That definitely sounds like the cause. My antique 2mp camera produces 2MB, so it's easy to see an 8MP camera putting out images greater than 5MB.
I've always just used Kate and konqueror's FTP functionality. You might want to try that out too.
Kate has "sessions", which are functionally similar to "Sites" in dreamweaver.
My name is Michael, and I've played around with Linux since 2000, but didn't start using it full-time until the release of Dapper.
:D
I think any of those could work. :P
That would be equivalent to coca-cola only selling water. They know their product isn't too good for their customers, but if they stop selling it, the customers go elsewhere.
If Dell cut MS off,...
All DirectX is is APIs, right? I'm sure it won't be easy, but porting it over to SDL wouldn't be impossible if the OSS community set their minds to it. :P
Why is the noscript plugin not included in a default Firefox install?
So handy.
I wonder what AV vendors would call Ubuntu...

Who comes up with the naming schemes for malware anyway? It always seemed a bit clunky, and there doesn't appear to be a standard.
I have no real reason to shut down. This one is pretty low power; just as much power as I need to get the job done. All my power comes from a mix of nuclear and hydroelectric, so the environment is...
If they made a reliable port of VB.net and the .net framework, I would probably use that. :P
For now, I use gambas for my RAD.
It's a matter of taste. :P
Industry standard doesn't equate to "best for everyone". Maya and 3dsmax are industry standard for CGI, but I find them to be painful to use, and stick to blender +...
This is the first time a legal online music service has compelled me to spend money.

Will web-based do? I found it by using google to search for "interactive periodic table". If you do the same you can investigate all the other links. I'm sure someone has...
Some things do load a bit slowly, but it's a minor issue to me.
A few seconds more load time for more functionality? I'm willing to live with it. ](*,)
Some tips have been adapted from:

This guide assumes that you have the RO client and an installation of a fairly recent WINE
Step 1: Open a...
How long was it before Windows had the majority? Ten years? Fifteen years?
Would it even be where it is if not for the rush to replace old hardware pre-y2k?
These things take time. Ubuntu is a...
The update manager tells me there are updates available. I load it, let it check, and I see a list of 16 updates.
I see several updates for my kernel, and an older kernel. Three updates for 386, 3...
