    [ubuntu] php-apc issues

I'll likely cross post this on an apc / php forum, but I thought I would start here in case the issue is known to be ubuntu specific.

I'm running an ubuntu 8.04 server that employs apc. I noticed...

    Re: remote desktop through browser?

Check out logmein.com, it's a great solution though not for logging into a linux computer. I'm pretty sure it only works for logging into windows computers so it may not be what you're looking for.

Re: HOWTO: Quickcam IM in Dapper

I ran into problems with the ` character as well. Make sure you aren't using ' (which is a single quote) and instead use `. That solved my issues.

Re: HOWTO: Quickcam IM in Dapper

That very well could have something to do with your X11 setup, I wish I could be more helpful :( Unfortunately I haven't run into any of those issues in my readings.

    As for the ownership...

Sorry to take so long to notice your reply. Plugin your camera, and then type dmesg at the command prompt. Copy your output here and I'll see what I can do.

Re: HOWTO: Quickcam IM in Dapper

Taking a quick look at the man pages for camorama
man camorama it would appear that
camorama -d /dev/video1 should do the trick.

    HOWTO: Quickcam IM in Dapper

    Introduction

    Re: World of Warcraft work?

I had heard there were some bugs that caused random crashing...experiencing any of that? I've been running windows for a while now in order to play WoW mostly, I'd like to come back to Ubuntu soon,...
  9. Re: I've noticed the support forums have been slower lately.

I think it is the combination of a lot of the bugs and problems being already dealt with in the forums, so a lot of people don't need to ask new questions. I know for me, I'm not online much because...

    Re: get cedega & point2play

I don't think this is the best place to be asking for warez. frankscorner.org has a howto on getting cedega from CVS, why don't you go that route.

Sweet, now if I only had my surround sound speakers here at school....is setting up surround sound that hard? I have a Creative Live 5.1, or I can fall back on my Nforce2 onboard.

    Re: cedega

I like Cedega a lot, but every distro I run it on has issues w/ not being able to recognize the cd, due to the protection. It REALLY annoys me. I think I'll fire up Diablo 2 once just to see if it...

Re: HOWTO: ATI FGLRX 3D Acceleration

According to ATI's web site, they don't provide 3d drivers for their mobile solutions. At least the information I found pointed to that. Now, I used to have a Rage Mobility in my old laptop, and if...

Re: HOWTO: ATI FGLRX 3D Acceleration

You're confusing fgl_glxgears and glxgears. They give different framerates. I've also been hearing around that glxgears isn't a good benchmarking tool at all. Anyways, it seems quite logical that...
