My wi-fi dongle disconnects whenever I try and do anything useful like browse a website. Actually, that's not true. I can look at sites like this and it is fine but if I use facebook,youtube or bbc...

My 9800pro and athlon 64 3200+ never had any problems in XP with full screen flash movies and last time I installed ubuntu it was fine but for some reason in 8.04 it gets a bit jerky on full screen....

It was already set to never (screen suspends after 30 mins but this was not a screen suspend as there was still text on the screen).

I don't know but when it happens again I will try it out. Thanks for the tip.

I have already said a couple of posts ago I have tried chgrp to www-data to no avail.

At work those same permissions work fine and they are assigned to www-data group and root user.

I should have said everything I had tried in my first post sorry.

I have tried logging in as root (I enabled the account so I could do it through GDM) and it didn't work.

Oh yes, the panels do change the icon size. It doesn't seem to have any affect on the applications panel but I guess I will have to live with that.

I have reduced all my font sizes but it seems a bit pointless if I have to keep my title bars and applications bar the same size due to the icons. Is there no way to resize icons?
