Those games are probarly part of the "ubuntu-desktop" package. This is a dummy package depending on all the packages that get installed on a fresh install. So if you remove those games ubuntu-desktop...

There is an uninstall script in my ET directory...
For your information: ET is installed at /usr/local/games/enemy-territory on my pc, I think that's the default location.

Although the game doesn't look like it's using any 3d-acceleration doesn't mean it doesn't need it. On happypenguin.org it says it does require 3d-acceleration.

Can you be 'a bit more' specific?
I'm guessing it has to do with you 3d-card, so you should get the flashes when trying to play games that require 3d-acceleration.
