I understand, but you must realize yourself that the root account is disabled by default and that enabling it as a new user can be hazardous to your systems stability.

CNR is completely rediculess.....waste of time....synaptic is MUCH better..and in fact...actually..GETDEBI is a hundred percent better than freakin CNR...ive got HUNDREDS of people that can back me...

My strengths are installing/removing items from CLI and GUI, upgrading/updating ubuntu, setting up wireless. Will respond with more when i can think of them.
