Re: Any idea why GAIM might be doing this...?

Everyone I talk to has problems with msn not sending messages, while using gaim AND the official msn client, so switching to kopete or something would do you no good.

    chaos@lunix:~$ glxinfo | grep rendering
    direct rendering: No

I've had the nvidia drivers installed a few weeks now. And it's a laptop, no swapping of video cards going on here. :P

Re: HOWTO: WoW under 6.06 with Wine - NVIDIA/ATI

Okay... it used to work under linux a few weeks ago before I cancelled. I feel like getting back into it, but I can't get it to start after reinstalling it. It says it can't start 3d acceleration....

  8. Poll: Re: do you think that the xserver crush was a good thing ?

Considering that this most likely caused a bunch of people to stop using Ubuntu, how could this be a good thing? It was a pretty pathetic mistake that I'm pretty sure has happened before.

Re: How could an update break X?

It's happened before at least once from what I remember. They really need to be more careful.

Wow I didn't know until this topic that it WAS possible, but I found the option. Compiz just got a HELL of a lot better for me. :D

Got rid of my windows partition since I stopped playing WoW. Decided to try compiz again, and holy hell it's gotten cooler since before.

    Re: NDS vs PSP

DS, of course. PSP doesn't appeal to me. It would be nice to have if it had better games though.

I play my DS all the time. Been playing Tetris online a lot lately. (I seem to find myself buying...
