Re: How to install iRiverter on Edgy?

The "Iriverter directory" should be the directory that you extracted the iriverter-[version].tar.bz archive to, such as '/home/tehwa/src/iriverter-0.16'. You will find a configure file in here.

I think mine took about 5 or 6 weeks. That's to Australia.

"ordered" is the correct word, it can be used when something does not need to be paid for.

Re: What career(s) are you pursuing?

Indeed, I previously worked as a programmer. The company i was working for went broke: no more job. I looked for other IT work, and was still unemployed after 6 months. But I realised something: "Why...

  13. Re: Compatible Hardware List Application with cool features..

Sorry to double post, but after some very brief investigation:

    1. It appears that the device database in Ubuntu is primarily used by the Ubuntu developers.

    2. The site which houses that data is...
  14. Re: Compatible Hardware List Application with cool features..

It's in Hoary default (and probably Breezy) under:

It's a great idea, I really hope Canonical are going to use this data for the purpose that you proposed....

Apparently Canonical have been doing something similar. I wonder if they are going to use the data for this purpose though.

Interesting, it might be an official CD only thing?

It could also be shenanigans with my FreeDB lookup. Can someone verify this, I don't think I have the energy for any shenanigans today...
  19. Re: I have accepted a challenge. Please help me.

If it gives you any confidence, I use that motherboard (P4SGX-MX), and everything worked out of the box (important only for sound really, since your mate is using an nVidia card, but the onboard was...
