Dapper 6.06 as it is now
After remming out the distro check section it all works as it should

All the files that are changed are backed up in their respective directory..
Just rename back..
What video card do you have...
Is it GDM that will not start... If you login at the command prompt...

I just ran the script on another computer running an ATI card and it worked a dream,
The install on the nvidia machine did not run through the x config either ?

So I am doing to try it again...

Fresh install of dapper
Apt-get update upgrade dist-upgrade
This time I uncomment the Univese repos
All went all..
rebooted all ok

Ran the script, all seems to go ok..
