I tried a clean install today
Dapper 6.06 as it is now
After remming out the distro check section it all works as it should

How if at all is apt-get...
Re.Get a new version of the script and run it.

I just ran the script on another computer running an ATI card and it worked a dream,
The install on the nvidia machine did not run through the x config either ?
So I am doing to try it again...
No joy :(
Fresh install of dapper
Apt-get update upgrade dist-upgrade
This time I uncomment the Univese repos
All went all..
rebooted all ok
Ran the script, all seems to go ok..

Did a fresh install. changed or added nothing..
Ran the script, which seemed to give no errors,
Re booted and wWhen GDM starts it fails,...
