For dialogs, a way around could be the desktop integration plugin.Originally Posted by e4m
Anyway, my university has been besieged (if that's the correct term) by a group of students, so I have some spare time to take a look at Tk/Tcl. If I can get a package out of it I will post it here.
Any hope to find amd64 debs?
Thanks for this guide. It worked perfectly.
I followed the guide and installed the latest CVS packages with no problems.
When I try to login (using HTTP method as I'm behing a restrictive firewall) I have the following error in the console:
bad variable name "options(-proxy_writing)": upvar won't create a scalar variable that looks like an array element
while executing
"upvar 1 :roxyHTTP::Snit_inst2:ptions(-proxy_writing) options(-proxy_writing)"
("uplevel" body line 1)
invoked from within
"uplevel 1 [list upvar 1 ${selfns}::$varname $varname]"
(procedure "::snit::RT.variable" line 5)
invoked from within
"variable options(-proxy_writing)"
(procedure ":roxyHTTP::Snit_methodHTTPRead" line 8)
invoked from within
"$self HTTPRead $sb"
(procedure ":roxyHTTP::Snit_methodConnectReply" line 5)
invoked from within
":roxy:roxyHTTP1 ConnectReply ns sock7"
and amsn is not able to connect to MSN.
Any clue/hints?
Thanks in advance
Luigi
Tryng to build from your sources in Drapper amd64 leads me to this error
checking if 64bit support is requested... yes
checking if 64bit Sparc VIS support is requested... no
checking system version (for dynamic loading)... ./configure: line 15271: syntax error near unexpected token `)'
./configure: line 15271: ` OSF*)'
make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2
Any idea how to fix that?
those are working fine for me (dapper)
First of all a BIG 5/5 stars to you!!
Secondly you have to pin the package if you don't want apt-get/synaptic to ruin it when you upgrade.
Add these lines to the file (if you haven't pinned any packages before it should be empty):Code:sudo gedit /etc/apt/preferences
I've only tried this on Dapper but it should work on everything (this feature as existed in debians apt-get for as long as I can remember).Code:Package: amsn Pin: version 0.95-1~neto1 Pin-Priority: 1001
My kernel was updated in the last Adept update and now aMSN stopped working. I installed it using this guide. Do I have to reinstall for each kernel update?
Daiver: Do as I wrote in the post above and it shouldn't ruin your aMSN install.
