No OS is "better".

Just different ones work for different people. I like and use windows, but that doesent mean I consider it to be better then any other OS.

IMHO I think Mac OS X is the best OS. It's beautiful and easy to use. Not to mention it has Unix inside.

Why is the brand of car you drive better?
Why is the political party/philosophy you endorse better?
Why is your religion better?

These type of questions are always subjective and lead to nothing constructive. Honestly people should just use what they like and what meets their needs/wants. Obviously I would be inclined to say Ubuntu is better but that is just for me. All this type of questioning leads to is trolling and flame wars.

i think he was just asking about opinion, along with resoning behind it...
for example:
I think ubuntu is the Best OS because its clean, and easy to use. the user community is very friendly and helpful (via the messageboard, irc, etc...) there has yet to be a problem i cant fix. while its based on many other programs/code, and ideas, the way it has come together is very refreshing and easy to use. i have yet to find something i dislike about it, the software thats avadible more than suits my needs, its updated often, and with programs such as AutoMatix, its easy to install/configure... the only complaint i have, is games, which is a big thing with linux, but this is NOT linux's fault, its the game producers, who ONLY write for windows... and with things like Wine/Cedega, that can be fixed to a point, and continues to get better.
