[QUOTE=bvc]That's not the icons, it's the panel using the colors at the top of the gtkrc of the theme you are using.
Put this in ~/.gtkrc-2.0>uncomment and mod the color values>killall gnome-panel[QUOTE]
I can't find that file, can you tell me where to look for it?

uuh. transparent panel backgrounds really don't work well in gnome 2.14.. they get strange colors, as you can see.. The images have no colors but white, but they become yellow in panels.. Also, I have mentioned that if anybody needs resized/modified versions of the images, send me a message and I'll do them. Those panels were made to fit my panel layout in Breezy, and I didn't use menubar but the single-button menu..Originally Posted by papangul
I also attached my current background pics to the 'rounded gnome-panels'-thread: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=108446
They only use transparency for rounded corners so they look a lot better in Dapper.. The old images work great in Breezy though.
Edit: It's also possible to set the background pics to scale properly in panels with gconf-editor (in Dapper, at least, I don't remember seeing this option in Breezy but I might have just missed it).. See the link, I have put the instructions in the last post

Here is my April desktop finally. The OSXish icon set is great. I am running XGL with Compiz. The blocks you see in the backround are not part of my wallpaper- they are constantly moving! I have also enabled the rain effect. This has lead to some tearing, but you can get the idea from the screenshot.
I am also showing off the miniwin pluggin! Far better than any gdesklet.

How do you make the blocks on the background moving, is it a kind of active wallpaper like e17 can handle or is it a deamon which add those blocks ?
I tried this, i uncommented everything and made everything 000000(black) but the icons still had white backgrounds. Why?Originally Posted by bvc
