    File Check ?

    Hi,
Ive just booted my system and it said it had been booted 30 times without being checked and it is forcing a check.
At the end of the check it said "FAIL" "None Contigious" or something in red and rebooted ?
It rebooted OK and is running fine ?
What happened here any ideas ?
Is there something I need to do ?
Will my system suddenly implode ?
Im not really panicking just curious.

non-contiguous is the linux version of saying that you have some fragmentation.

Now, I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not, by my system, every once in a while does the exact same thing, and I get the same errors, and I haven't had a single problem.... so far.

So, for now, I would say your computer is probably taking care of itself (at least, that is what mine seems to be doing)... because if it reboots itself and it comes up, it's probably fine.

I seem to recall that it's just giving you some information - almost like the machine is talking to itself.

I hope this helps and doesn't hinder!
