Hope it doesn't matter too much. I have an AMD 3800 and 2 GB of RAM.Activate:
-Preemption Model
--Voluntary Kernel Preemption (Desktop)
-High Memory Support
--off -if you have less than 1 GB of RAM
--1GB Low Memory Support -if you have 1GB of RAM
--4GB -if you have more than 1GB of RAM
-Timer frequency
--1000 Hz

OK problem.
I cant get X to load. Tried to use my xorg.conf.backup and apt-got the fglrx-kernel-source.
What next?

Yes the new kernel shows in my grub loader and boots. Just cant load into X. Wher could I have messed up?
