I am a little bit confused, because I do not see the herd 3 on the official website here. So are the links you posted the official herd 3, or a daily build that can change until herd 3 comes out?

they are images that will become herd 3 if there are no showstopping bugs

Herd 3 isn't out yet until it's considered ready, and these forums are here for testing the images

Re: Herd 3 candidates available for testing

We are currently testing release candidates for Herd 3. The official releases will be posted in the same place and tested in the same way. Help with both kinds of testing is greatly appreciated.

The reason we emphasis the pre-release testing is that this will be crucial in later stages, like Beta, RC and Final. So we have to develop the systems for that now.

In any case, links to the latest images can be found on this page.

Re: Herd 3 candidates available for testing

I'm looking forward to testing this latest release.

What sort of changes can I look toward in this release, compared to the latest official distribution I'm using. (Ubuntu 6.10)

Any solid information to suggest 7.04 will support an accelerated desktop by default compatible with my ATI Mobility 9600?
