he's trying to point out that the pot has called the kettle black--your "fixing Windows" matches nicely to his preferred environment, so he finds it rich that you should criticize his desktop aesthetic.

Hey-- Might as well put it somewhere it can easily be compared to other desktops, no? A desktop as clean as yours should stand out nicely there (I, for one, love a crisp, clean desktop).

i did not mean to offence somebody...all i wanted to point out was that anyone can make the look of a desktop to his / her needs as he/she pleases

No it doesn't, it looks way worse than KDE. Anyways, that's just my opinion.
