Jeff Waugh resigns from Canonical to go back to gnome

So, why now? I’m excited about Ubuntu, passionate about its mission, confident in its future, and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of it from the very beginning… But ultimately, my heart lies with another, and I have to take that chance, face that risk, while my family commitments and responsibilities allow it.

Daniel Silverstone also resigned from Canonical.

This seems to be a time of resigning with Daniel and Jeff resigning from Canonical and the staff members this forum loosed in the last week.
Anyway, I wish everyone the best and am thankfull for their fantastic work. Refilling the new vacanies won't be the easiest thing.

I can assure you that the change in staff has nothing to do with Jeff Waugh or Daniel Silverstone. It's just a coincidence.

Jeff Waugh will continue to work on Ubuntu (indirectly) from upstream gnome.

Oh, I didn't intend to suggest that there is any connection. It's just a little bit sad to see multiple good people go in so short time.
