Nvidia driver no x?

I just installed the latest nvidia drivers via the restricted driver applet. Now when I try to boot into ubuntu it comes up just to the command line startx gives me an error of no screens found. Where can I start to fix this?

try running
nvidia-xconfig

if that does not help try starting in recovery mode and choose hmm i can remember what it is called but it redoes your X config
